wig types
While wig cap construction can vary, there are two main types of wig fibres – human hair and synthetic (polymer). Both are equally lovely, however, each has its pros and cons. Ultimately the choice is yours.
The Hairistocracy deals mainly with synthetic wigs, however, options for human hair wigs are available. Styling it is up to you!
Synthetic Hair
Available in a wide selection of gorgeous colours, offering some rooted shades and highlights - truly beautiful!
Instantly wearable right out of the box.
Requires very little styling as the polymer fibres have been heated into the style and bounce back after washing.
With proper care synthetic wigs can last a very long time, even if worn daily.

Usually not heat resistance, although there are some heat defiant styles on the market.

Colour can be changed – can be dyed.
Needs to be styled daily.
Can be curled or straightened.
As time consuming to style as your real hair.
Dries out and frizzes like your real hair.
Heat resistant.
Usually extremely costly – in the $1000’s.
